A schoolgirl of Turkish origin was brutally attacked and injured by a stranger at her primary school in Duisburg on Tuesday. The father of 12-year-old Aysegul blames the school for not calling an ambulance.

The police also took several calls before responding. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Aysegul's condition is now stable. The Turkish consulate in Dusseldorf said it was closely following the investigation
