Alman Lisesi ve Yale Üniversitesi mezunu Sercan Çelebi, son yerel seçimlerde sandıklarda insanların gönüllü çalışmasını sağlayan, tamamen gönüllülerden oluşan ve hiç bir siyasi parti bağlantısı bulunmayan Oy ve Ötesi topluluğunun kurucularından biridir. Türkiye'de demokrasi bilincini arttırmayı hedefleyen Ortak Nokta Derneği ile birlikte çalışarak daha çok vatandaşın oy vermesini ve binlerce kişinin sandık görevlisi olarak çalışmasını, sandıklara sahip çıkmasını ve herkesin geleceği için harekete geçmelerini sağlamıştır.

A graduate of German High School in Istanbul and Yale University Sercan Çelebi is one of the founding members of 'Oy ve Ötesi' Organization that facilitated volunteers to work at the polling stations in the recent local elections in Turkey. By working with the Ortak Nokta Derneği that aims to increase the understanding of democracy in Turkey they have managed to get a lot more citizens to vote, organized thousands of people to work as election officers and guard the ballot boxes for everyone's future.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
