bong, a journey in creative leap: Dayu @TEDxSuzhou

Dayu is born in Heilongjiang Province and currently living in Hangzhou. He spent ten years to seek the meaning of life and throughout these period of time he had been a talk show host, a curator ,a musician and an advertiser. In 2010, he joined Alibaba and started Lai Wang which is an app for people to record each precious moment of their lives and aimed to help everyone understand their meaning of life. However, it sadly turned out a failure. Later, he quitted his job and studied Buddhism. Then he created bong. So what is bong? This is a wristband device that can automatically recognize people's movement and sleep and a new way to seek the meaning of life. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
