Trond Engum is an associate professor at the NTNU Department of Music in Trondheim, Norway focused on the changing strategies and procedures for composing, producing and performing through digital music technology. He is also a guitarist, composer and member of the band, The Soundbyte, and a member of the experimental Norwegian metal band, The 3rd and the Mortal.


In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
