The current ceasefire in Sudan might be extended. The Sudanese military chief says he'll send an envoy for talks, aimed at possibly extending the truce beyond the Friday morning deadline.

No word yet on whether the paramilitary group - the Rapid Support Forces - will send an envoy as well. But the ceasefire has done little to ease the suffering after fighting broke out nearly two weeks ago.
