Ruth and I spent 6 weeks in Egypt & Jordan. We hired a camel guide and toured the Giza Pyramids & Sphinx from early one morning until 10:30 at night. The Pyramids are the oldest of the "Seven Wonders of the World" and a must see place for any traveler. Constructed over a 20 year period around 2560 BC, the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years. One thing that upset me was they have built a golf course on the north side of this historic area (anywhere but here).
