Fernando Alonso, Shakespeare, talent and fear: Cormac Walsh at TEDxGracia

Cormac Walsh is an English language teacher and public speaking coach with 15 years of experience. He specialises in helping people conquer their fear of speaking in public and in teaching non-native English speakers how to reproduce the intonation and sounds of spoken English. Cormac is a Distinguished Toastmaster, the current Deputy Division Governor for Spain and has been an active Toastmaster since 2009.

Cormac firmly believes that anyone can learn to be a great public speaker no matter what obstacles they face including, as in his own case, a disastrous first experience.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
