This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. With a longing for home, Vivecca and Lisa returned to Beirut, Lebanon after spending their childhood and young adult years abroad. They were disappointed to find out that, in a country endowed with a beautiful nature and a rich culture, bitterness reigned. With a purpose to overcome the negativity they saw around them, these two young girls founded a movement that sprung from the strongest emotion: LOVE.

With Lebanese, American, and Cuban roots, Vivecca, a faculty member at Notre-Dame University, is also a writer, photographer, jewelry designer, and animal lover. She describes herself as creative, adventurous, passionate, a hopeless romantic, a full-time dreamer & a creative force.
Vivecca's motto in life: "If you want something bad enough you'll find a way to get it."

With Lebanese, Armenian, and British roots, Lisa is a writer who describes herself as a "connected", free-spirited, tenacious social butterfly, environmental activist, risk taker, and diehard optimist.
Lisa's motto in life: "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
