From Poachers into Protectors: Kartick Satyanarayan at TEDxDelrayBeach

Kartick is known for working to end the "dancing bear" problem in India, a project few believed achievable. Keeping with taking on "difficult and impossible challenges," he in snow focused on tackling the wildlife poaching problem by creating innovative, sustainable programs to convert wildlife poachers in to protectors and informers, thus conserving threatened and endangered species in India. With Geeta Seshamani, he founded the charity Wildlife SOS India which works to make a difference to the planet.



In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
