The idea historian, debator, and Ship to Gaza activist Edda Manga, has in her nationally praised research examined the colonial background to international rights. She was given the Clio prixe in 2004 for her doctorate thesis "Divine revelations and demonic intercourses", and she is currently the political editor for the Swedish magazine "Feministiskt Perspektiv", a magazine with feminist direction.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
