Pro-Palestine activists depict nightmarish reality Israel has created on the ground in Gaza

Ahead of the American holiday of Halloween, an independent grassroots group organised a pro-Palestine demonstration in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC on Tuesday, October 29.

Their protest highlighted the gruesome, nightmarish reality Israel has unleashed on the Palestinian people of Gaza–particularly the “destruction of schools, attacks on press, assassination of aid workers, and slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians.”

At the site, the group of activists used special effects makeup to depict the kinds of very real wounds inflicted upon Palestinian young and old, as well as the targeted attacks of journalists, and the scenes of destruction that are left of schools and hospitals across Gaza.

The bloodied limbs of dolls and blood-stained homework papers are used to signify the children stuck under the rubble of bombed buildings

“No amount of Halloween horror can ever even portray the horror being unleashed on the Palestinian people by Israel,” Palestinian American activist Hazami Barmada, who led the group in this action, told TRT World.

“Words fail to capture the rage we all feel, so political art has become a tool to showcase the unimaginable,” she added.
