Let's modify the colors and shapes in some of the world's flags and create realistic flags. We will try to replace the colors with what they might represent. Some of the modifications are made just for fun. Subscribe to Kiddopedia channel for flag videos → https://kiddopedia.page.link/sub

"Flags of the world" video is one of the most popular videos on the Kiddopedia channel, which gets a lot of attention from the viewers. We wanted to have some fun and make a new video with alternative flags of European countries. We take the flag design of one country and transform it with the colors from the second flag. Thus, we can create imaginary countries that do not exist. We also made up a fictional name for each creation.

Color symbolism:
While every country attributes different meaning to the colors of their flag, there are a lot of common meanings.
- Red, especially in relatively new countries, often represents the struggle for independence or specifically pays tribute to the blood shed in that struggle. Conversely, it may also represent the sun, especially rising or setting. It is also one the most common color in flags, likely because it is bright and distinct, and could be easily produced in ancient times. It is a Pan-African, Pan-Arabic, and Pan-Slavic color, the color of Communism, and appears in the Union Jack and, as a result, many Commonwealth flags. Many Commonwealth countries adopted their flags from a variant of the British Red Ensign.
- White often stands for peace or purity and is another very common color in flags. In heraldry, white is analogous to silver (or "argent") and is one of the two "metals" (with yellow/gold). It may be used as a default field, or as a band to separate two darker colors. It is also sometimes used to symbolize snow in some countries. It is a Pan-Arabic, Pan-Slavic and Commonwealth color. A pure white flag represents surrender.
- Blue is another common color but doesn't have as much of a commonly agreed on meaning. Often, it will represent the sky or a body of water such as the ocean or a river. It also may have historical significance - newer countries may pay tribute to the UN's flag, older ones may have historical ties to France or the British Blue Ensign. It is both a Pan-Slavic and Commonwealth color.
- Green, like blue, commonly represents geological features of the country, such as forests, plains, farmland, grassland, or agriculture. On a more abstract level, it may represent fertility or hope. It is both a Pan-Arabic and Pan-African color, and also is the color of Islam.
- Yellow/Gold is the other "metal" (with white) of heraldry. Being the color of both gold and grain/wheat, it is commonly associated with wealth and prosperity. It may also represent the sun, light, or hope. It is also a Pan-African color.
- Black is used somewhat less on flags, due to its association with death and war. It may also stand for darkness to be overcome or may relate to African heritage. It is a Pan-African and Pan-Arabic color. A solid black flag may mean war, revolution, anarchy, or that the side will not take prisoners (ie, the opposite of the white surrender flag)
- Less Common Colours: Orange is much less common, but may have symbolism similar to both red and yellow: the sun, grain/wheat, fertility. It is also a color associated with the Dutch, Protestant Irish and Hinduism. Purple has been the color of royalty since ancient Rome, but it is very rare to see on modern flags. It has generally represented nobility, wealth and royalty.
