Renminbi Internationalisation: A New Era
The use of the Chinese currency, renminbi (RMB), is expanding in different parts of the world. This session discusses how the latest developments in RMB internationalisation will present opportunities for European corporates and financial institutions to strengthen their business links with China, and how the RMB business platform in Hong Kong and its global connectivity can help meet the growing demand for RMB financial products and services in the European markets. As Hong Kong and Paris further enhance their already strong cooperation and market linkage, corporates and investors can benefit from the strengths of the two markets to access the full range of RMB services, from trade, financing, to investment and treasury management.

L’utilisation de la monnaie chinoise, le renminbi (RMB), est en progression constante dans diverses parties du monde. Cette session abordera la façon les opportunités offertes par les derniers développements en termes d’internationalisation du renminbi aux entreprises et aux institutions financières européennes pour renforcer leurs liens d’affaires avec la Chine, et les atouts de la plate-forme commerciale en RMB de Hong Kong, notamment sa connectivité mondiale pour répondre à la demande croissante en produits et services financiers en RMB sur les marchés européens.
