Serbia’s foreign minister tells TRT World on the sidelines of #UNGA that global powers will be able to come together to apply “pressure on stakeholders” in the Middle East to work towards a ceasefire against Israeli assaults in Gaza and Lebanon.

He hopes that this past week of discussions at the UNGA has contributed well to the “dropping of tensions” and to the journey towards peace in the Middle East.

He emphasised the existing commitment Serbia has made to peace in the Middle East through active United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) deployments, where “over 200 [Serbian] sons and daughters (soldiers) … contribute to regional stability.”
