State Building & The Quest for Human Rights in Afghanistan: Nader Nadery at TEDxKabul

Ahmad Nader Nadery served as Commissioner of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission. He co-founded and is the chairman of the Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan. Mr.Nadery has won a number of International Awards and was recognized as an "Asian Hero" by Time Magazine; and named as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2008. He studied law and political sciences in Kabul University and earned his Masters in International Relations from George Washington University.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
