Tonight I'm joined by two-time Grammy-winner Robert Glasper. The talented and innovative pianist has reunited with his jazz trio on the hit new album, COVERED, which was recorded in front of a live audience at Capitol Studios. Since the trio last recorded together, Glasper has experimented with various other musical genres, injecting Hip-Hop and R&B flavors into his other recent projects, "Black Radio" and "Black Radio 2."
In the clip above, Glasper shares why "Covered," which embraces the broad scope of his influences, serves as an example of how rich and varied black music can be.
