TERTELE
1937-38’de Dersim’de yaşananları ağıtlar, fotoğraflar ve belgelerle ortaya koyan ve üç CD bir kitaptan oluşan çok boyutlu çalışma, yörenin bugüne kadar dile gelmemiş hüznünü en yalın ama en çarpıcı haliyle karşımıza çıkarıyor.
Belgesel ve müzik yapımcısı Nilüfer Saltık ile sözlü tarih araştırmacısı Cemal Taş’ın ortak çalışmalarının sonucu olarak ortaya çıkan Ağıtların Diliyle Dersim ’38 TERTELE, üzerine yeni yeni konuşulmaya başlanan bir dönemin hatıratını, mağdurların dilinden ağıtlar aracılığıyla seslendiriyor. ‘38’de Dersim’de yaşanan katliamı konu alan 33 ağıtın sözleri, öyküleri ve otantik sesleriyle, olayların geçtiği yer ve ağıda konu olan kişilerin fotoğraflarından oluşan çalışma üç CD ve 500 sayfalık bir kitaptan oluşuyor.
Ön sözünü kısa süre önce kaybettiğimiz değerli aydın Vedat Türkali’nin yazdığı ve Kırmançca/Zazaca, İngilizce ve Türkçe olmak üzere üç dilde yayınlanan kitap/CD hem resmi tarihin dışında hem de muhalif anlatı kalıplarının ötesinde düşünmeye cesaret eden bir tarih anlayışı ortaya koyuyor.
Ağıtların Diliyle Dersim ’38 TERTELE, 4 yıllık bir çalışmanın ürünü olsa da aslında 25 yıl boyunca biriktirilen fotoğraf, belge ve sözlü tarih kayıtlarına dayanıyor. Belge ve fotoğraflar bu konuda en geniş birikime sahip olan Hasan Saltık arşivinden. Ağıtlar ise Cemal Taş’ın 80’li yıllardan bu yana derlediği sözlü tarih ve müzik arşivinden. Ardından Nilüfer Saltık ve Cemal Taş eldeki fotoğraf ve haritaların izinden giderek, toplu kıyım yerlerini, mağaraları, mezraları yeniden belgeledikleri bir alan çalışması gerçekleştirerek kitaba taşıdılar.
Ağıtların Diliyle Dersim ‘38 TERTELE ile yazarlar, yörede “Tertele” olarak isimlendirilen olayın bıraktığı izleri en çıplak dille aktaran ağıtlar çerçevesinde, her bir ağıdın öyküsünü ayrıntılı olarak aktararak, yaşamını yitirenleri mevcut bilginin elverdiği ölçüde isimleriyle anarak, hakikati ortaya çıkarma eylemine katkıda bulunmayı amaçlıyorlar.

DERSİM ’38 IN THE LANGUAGE OF LAMENTS

This multi-dimensional work that reveals the events that took place in Dersim in 1937-38 in the words and music of laments, and also with photographs and documents forms the plainest yet most striking portrait of the region yet.
A product of the collaboration between documentary and music producer Nilüfer Saltık and oral history researcher Cemal Taş, Dersim ’38 In the Language of Laments lends a voice to the memories of a period that has only recently become a topic of debate through laments, sung by victims. The work is composed of the lyrics, stories and authentic sounds of 33 laments about the massacre that took place in Dersim in 1938, and the photographs of sites where the events took place, and the people mentioned in the laments, and their relatives, brought together in 3 CDs and a 500-page book.
With a preface by the esteemed intellectual Vedat Türkali, who recently passed away, and published in three languages, Kırmanjki/Zazaki, English and Turkish, the book/CD displays a historical approach that dares to think both outside official history and beyond clichés of dissident narratives.
Although the product of 4-years of work, Dersim ’38 In the Language of Laments TERTELE, is in fact based on photographs, documents and oral history recordings that have been collected over the last 25 years. The documents and photographs are from the archive of Hasan Saltık, the most comprehensive archive on this event. The recordings of the laments are from the oral history and music archive of Cemal Taş, an archive assembled since the 80s. Nilüfer Saltık and Cemal Taş, based on this background, followed the photographs and maps in hand, and carried out a field research where they documented anew the massacre sites, caves and meadows, and conveyed this new knowledge into the book.
In Dersim ’38 In the Language of Laments TERTELE, in the framework of laments that transmit the traces left by the event called “Tertele” in the region in the starkest manner, by giving a detailed account of the story for which every lament was composed and by remembering, as current data allows, every single victim of the massacres, the authors have sought to contribute to the act of revealing the truth.
