The Endless Journey : Dr. Chao-Bin Hsu at TEDxNCU

Born in remote country in Taitung county,Taiwan, Chao-Bin Hsu had sweared to be a doctor after the death of his young sister. There is a place call Daren township which is located on south-east Taiwan. This township has been ignored for a long time and has resulted in lack of medical resource. About twenty thousand residence without any doctor, sick-and-die was a common thing.
Dr. Hsu has been working on a project that builds a hospital for these people in need. He encourages all people to start help others instantly.
"We always want to WAIT until we have enough ability, but why not do it NOW?" Dr. Hsu said. His new idea is trying to measure a project not by profit but love.


In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
