Amelia talks about the importance of learning some of the most widely spoken languages in the world that are often neglected in schools and universities. She explains this language deficit and gives some potential solutions to this problem. Amelia is a senior at Brown University studying Portuguese and Brazilian Studies and a touch of Social Entrepreneurship. In 2012, she founded the Student Language Exchange as a platform to celebrate and share underrepresented languages and cultures on college campuses. Amelia is passionate about diversifying global engagement in American universities. In her spare time, Amelia nurtures her unhealthy obsessions with 90's pop music, the MTV Challenge and competitive board games.
