Che Brandes-Tuka was active in the student movement and helped to organize several protests and a university occupation against education cuts. He studied International Economics, International Law, Philosophy and Sociology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and is currently a PhD candidate in Critical Theory at the Global Center for Advanced Studies, and does a training in Existential Psychoanalysis. He believes that education today not only kills creativity, like Sir Ken Robinson claims, but also kills thinking as such and that in order to survive the zombie apocalypse that symbolizes the state higher education is in, we need to find ways out of the current malaise through the defense and revival of critical thinking.
