You'll need
125 g butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 liter milk
2 tsp vanilla sugar
For the top;
Cinnamon powder
1 cup = 200 ml
Here's how
Start by melting the butter in a saucepan.
Add the flour and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the flour is lightly toasted without burning.
Slowly pour in the milk while continuing to stir.
Add the sugar and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.
Once the pudding is thickened and starts to boil, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla sugar.
Transfer the pudding to a separate bowl for faster cooling, and beat with a mixer for about 5 minutes.
Lightly wet a small square baking dish that you'll be using with water, then pour the prepared pudding into the dish. Wetting the dish will help the dessert to come out easily.
Smooth the top of the dessert and let it rest at room temperature until it cools.
Once cooled, refrigerate the dessert until it is thoroughly chilled.
Remove the chilled dessert from the refrigerator. Carefully invert it onto a large serving plate.
Place strips of parchment paper cut into thin strips in a crisscross pattern on top of the dessert.
Sprinkle generously with cinnamon powder and carefully remove the parchment paper strips.
Place the strips of parchment paper again in a lengthwise manner and sprinkle with more cinnamon.
After removing the parchment papers carefully, your dessert is ready to be served. Enjoy!
