US lawmakers applaud Netanyahu amid Israel’s onslaught in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received several standing ovations during his address to a joint session of the US Congress on Wednesday, July 24. Meanwhile, Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, one of the enclave’s most densely populated areas, faced intense Israeli air strikes.

The Nuseirat refugee camp, which houses 250,000 residents and displaced people, has been bombarded 63 times in a week by the Israeli army, killing at least 91 Palestinians and injuring 251 others.

Israel’s war on Gaza, now in its 293rd day, has killed at least 39,175 Palestinians and wounded 90,403 others, with over 10,000 estimated to be buried under the debris.
