We Bring the Storm!: Iowa Andhi at TEDx UIowa

Since at 2009, Iowa Andhi has acted as a competitive dance team in the style of bollywood dance that travels and competes across the country representing the University of Iowa. Iowa Andhi also strives to spread awareness of Indian dance styles to members of the community and campus through entertainment. Iowa Andhi, with other cultural groups, supports some of the largest cultural events on the University of Iowa campus, including performing at Nachte Raho (one of the largest dance competitions in the Midwest), the O.A.S.I.S. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
