Western leaders embrace Israeli officials despite Gaza genocide

In the last two weeks of July, leaders of multiple Western countries — including France, the UK, Italy and the US — have embraced Israeli officials even as Tel Aviv continues its genocidal war in besieged Gaza.

Despite calls to boycott notorious Israeli leaders and the arrest warrants requested by the ICC against members of the Israeli regime, Emmanuel Macron greeted Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the Elysee Palace while Joe Biden welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

At the US Congress Netanyahu’s brazen lies about how Israel was conducting the war was even applauded by American lawmakers.

While Israel has killed and wounded tens of thousands of Palestinians, displaced millions and flattened much of Gaza’s infrastructure, UN agencies now say that Gaza is seeing world’s worst food crisis, with half a million Palestinians facing “catastrophic” hunger.
