The world's oldest woman has died aged 119 in Japan. Kane Tanaka, born in 1903, was confirmed by Guinness World Records in 2019 as the oldest living person.
Tanaka survived cancer twice and lived through a multitude of historical events including two world wars and the 1918 Spanish flu.
