Zul: Sonically Exposed: A Solo Exhibition by Zulkifle Mahmod / The Private Museum, Singapore

For art lovers, Singapore Art Week is a great time visit Singapore. The main event, the international art fair Art Stage Singapore is complemented by many exhibitions, openings and events in Singapore's galleries, museums, art spaces and public places. Then, there's the Singapore Biennale, which still runs until February 19. The Private Museum's contribution to Singapore Art Week is a solo exhibition with new works by Zulkifle Mahmod. Initially trained in sculpture, Zulkifle a.k.a. ZUL has developed a multi-faceted work that ranges from sound to installation and drawing. The solo exhibition at The Private Museum features works that incorporate both sound and visual. In 2007, Zul represented Singapore at the 52nd Venice Art Biennale in Italy, along with three other artists. The Private Museum was founded by Singaporean philanthropist and real estate developer, Daniel Teo. The gallery is situated in the heart of the museum precinct in an arts and cultural centre, 51 Waterloo Street.
