Masaaki Isobe
Founder and CEO of Adfive CO., LTD
Isobe studied information technology and computer science at Tokyo Institute of Technology and has many years experience in implementing special algorithms and data structures. Since graduation he has spent over 10 years working as a software engineer for large IT companies as well as venture companies. During that time, he founded Adfive CO. Ltd, a company that researches and develops online advertising services. Isobe has been interested in science and technology ever since he was a child. He strongly wants to use his knowledge to change the world and has started his own company that connects advanced technology with high-value products or services. Furthermore, he would like to use his own experiences to inspire technology ventures to create new materials, medicines, supercomputers, or even breakthroughs in agricultural products using robot technology.

東京工業大学にて、情報工学と計算工学を学ぶ。卒業後、大手IT企業やベンチャー企業でのソフトウェア開発職として10年ほど勤務したのち、ネット広告のテクノロジを研究開発するアドファイブ株式会社を設立。特殊な構造やアルゴリズムを必要とするソフトウェアの設計と実装を得意とする。 幼少のころから科学技術に興味を持ち、テクノロジによって世の中を変えたいと強く思うようになった。また、それを実現することができるような、高度なテクノロジを実社会で市場価値を持つような製品やサービスに結びつけるビジネスプロデューサとなるために、自ら起業。自らの経験を元に、将来的にはスパコンで新薬や新材料を作ったり、ロボット技術で農業の生産性を飛躍させたり、というようなテクノロジベンチャーに深く関わりたいと考えている。

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
