The world's oldest kangaroo species, Hypsiprymnodon moschatus, or musky rat kangaroo, is a prolific gardener. In times of plenty, the "hypsi" will bury extra fruits it has collected underground for future snacking. While this crafty scheme keeps the fruits safe, the hypsi often forgets where its treasures are buried, leaving the buried fruits free to germinate and repopulate the forest.
