Dr. Minna Haring is a lecturer and vice principal at Joensuun normaalikoulu, the University Teacher Training School at Joensuu. Schools such as Joensuun normaalikoulu are special feature in the organization of Finnish teacher education; strengthening the link between instruction and research and intergrating the theory and practice of teaching. A considerable part of the teachers' work is being a teacher educator. Minna Haring has been reasearching teacher thinking in early and primary education, pedagogical well-being and early learning in mathematics. In her speech she will concentrate on some essential features of Finnish education system.
