Boris Sofman is the co-founder and CEO of Anki, a robotics and AI company. Sofman holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. An engineer and researcher, Sofman has built a diverse range of robotic systems from consumer products to bomb-disposal robots. Their latest product that was recently released to the market, Anki Drive, was presented in the keynote of Apple's WWDC conference.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
