Aynur is a German pop singer of Turkish descent.
The name Aynur has an Arabic origin, meaning "Moonlight".
As a daughter of european-turkish immigrants Aynur was born and raised in Munich. Aynur is second oldest of four siblings and developed a passion for music at an early age.
Although she is very close to her Turkish roots, AYNUR also sees herself as a "Citizen of the World".
She has already lived in many countries such as Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Turkey. That's why she fluently speaks German, Dutch, Turkish, English and some Swedish. At the age of 10, Aynur started singing and also gained experience by performing on Children's and Youth Theater stages.
She attended the Friedrich-List-Wirtschaftsschule and also went for a couple of semester to the "Stage School for Performing Arts" in Munich.
Aynur also has a very close relationship to the well know european opera singer Daniela Dinato who recognized her talent at an early stage and started tutoring her with private vocal lessons. Daniela Dinato supported and encouraged Aynur to fulfill her dream of being a singer and performer. In the following, about the age of 18 she started out performing on shows to carry on her talent.
Her greatest ambition in life was now music, so she invested all of her energy into making music.
Around 2000, she became a member of the Turkish group Surprize and they produced their first album in Istanbul. Numerous international performances quickly followed. Aynur also wrote her very first song for the album.
Surprize took part at the European Song Contest for Germany and became second runner up.
After several very successful years with Surprize, Aynur left the group and decided to work as a solo artist.
In 2003, Aynur also participated in the German Preliminary Contest of the European Song Contest and became second runner up, that's how she as well generated a buzz in Turkey.
In 2008, among other things she contributed the Fabia campaign song "It's so true" as an artist for the automobile manufacturer Skoda and for many years her voice is also featured in the choir of numerous music productions.
In 2010, Aynur finally started to pursue her dream of a solo career and in order to work with them she lined up some of the current hit producers and song writers to produce her first solo album.
