MDC Fisheries staff recycled Christmas trees by sinking them into brush piles at Horseshoe Lake (Carondelet Park) in St. Louis on Jan. 9. The brush piles provide excellent fish cover for bass and panfish, as well as good fishing locations for anglers. STL City Parks, Recreation and Forestry provided the trees and Kirchner Block in Bridgeton donated the concrete blocks used to sink the trees. The video was shot by MDC's Kevin Meneau.
