At least 28 people were killed and some 150 worshippers injured after a powerful bomb went off during afternoon prayers at a mosque located inside police headquarters in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, according to police and government officials.

Authorities said the explosion was a suicide attack and no one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
