Forged In Time - A History of Damascus Steel: Zane Schenk at TEDxAmmon

Zane Schenk was born into a family of knifemakers and what was a hobby has become a passion and even a business. Along with a small group metalworkers in the United States, they've given birth to a renaissance in the manufacture of Damascus Steel.

In this talk, Zane talks about the history of this particular type of steel-making, how the technology disappeared from the earth for a period of time, and how it has come back with a fervor and new astounding artistic creations are being made every day.
