On Thursday, Israel military released footage of an airstrike on a Damascus building it claims was an Palestinian Islamic Jihad command center.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said the strike was based on intelligence, warning that Syria would not be allowed to threaten Israel.
An Islamic Jihad spokesman denied the claim, describing the building as empty.

Syrian state news agency SANA confirmed the attack in Mashroua Dummar, reporting injuries—including an elderly woman in critical condition—and substantial damage.

This incident comes amid rising regional tensions following the collapse of Assad’s regime, Israel’s expanded occupation in the Syrian Golan Heights, and ongoing airstrikes targeting Syrian military assets.
