Wound healing is a long, slow, amazing process. Here is the squirrel we nicknamed Houdini. (We normally don't name rehab animals...but this guy earned the name!) In the beginning we had to keep the tail wrapped because he would actually chew on it. Now we are taking a chance and leaving it to get some air. We placed him in a larger bird cage so he wouldn't be in wire and re-injure the tail. Wish us luck!
