Chris Bickel seeks to provide people who are food insecure with unprocessed food that is healthy for all, even those with food allergies. Chris is a Fellow with NJ Learns and Earthwatch International. He is also the author of "The Nest Seekers", a recently published book for children. Chris is very active in community building efforts in his home town, where he serves on committees for sustainability, civics and the mitigation of food insecurity in New Jersey and beyond.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
