From Charity to Change: Working with the Experts - Katie Boone at TEDxGustavusAdolphusCollege

Katie is a global citizen, mother, partner and works as a host practitioner or "process artist" who comes from an extensive background in non-profit, community organizing, and academic worlds. Her talk focuses on exploring what collective impact looks like within communities, organizations and systems that want to authentically create meaningful change.

Katie has worked extensively within immigrant and refugee communities, early childhood, youth, veterans, and health and well-being initiatives. She is part of a global network of community change making leaders who are stewarding these practices and patterns on a global scale.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
