Hip Hop Kültür Elçisi Toni Blackman İzmir'de festivale katıldı

Hip Hop Kültür Elçisi Toni Blackman, Hip Hop Festivali’ne Katılmak ve Çalıştay Düzenlemek Üzere İzmir’i Ziyaret Etti (7-9 Mayıs 2016):
ABD Dışişleri Bakanlığı’nın ilk Hip Hop Kültür Elçisi olan Toni Blackman, 7-9 Mayıs 2016 tarihleri arasinda Ege Üniversitesi Hip Hop Topluluğu ile Bornova Belediyesi tarafından düzenlenen 5’inci Uluslararası Hip Hop Festivali’ne katılarak Türk dansçılar ve eğitimcilerle bir araya geldi ve birlikte rap yaptı. Toni Blackman, biri Yaşar Üniversitesi Müzik Bölümü ve Karşıyaka Anadolu Lisesi’nin hip-hop dans grubuyla iki ayrı çalıştay düzenlendi. Çalıştaylardan sonra, İzmir’in popüler bir eğlence mekanında performans sergileyen Toni Blackman, bir caz müzisyeni ve bir gitaristten oluşan yerel bir grupla birlikte sahnede rap müzik yaptı. Hip-hop Kültür Elçisi Toni Blackman ve sahnedeki gruba büyük ilgi vardı; seyirciler hem rap müziğe eşlik etti, hem de Blackman ile fotoğraf çektirdi. ABD Dışişleri Bakanlığı Hip-Hop Kültür Elçisi Toni Blackman, ayrıca basınla da iki söyleşi yaptı.

Hip Hop Cultural Envoy Toni Blackman at Hip Hop Festival and Workshops in Izmir (May 7-9, 2016):
In Izmir, the U.S. State Department’s first Hip Hop Cultural Envoy Toni Blackman participated in the 5th International Hip-hop festival organized by the Ege University Hip Hop Community and Bornova Municipality. Ms. Blackman interacted and rapped with the Turkish dancers and instructors in the Turkish community. She also held two workshops; Yasar University’s music school and with Karsiyaka Anatolian High School’s hip-hop dance group. At Yasar University, she did a cipher workshop with 15 jazz students using free styling. She was able to involve each student in the session where she did improvisation. At Karsiyaka High School, she did a workshop with 40 students who were part of the school’s hip-hop dance group. Students enjoyed this workshop and were able to practice their skills. Ms. Blackman had a performance at a popular club in Izmir where she rapped on stage with a local band consisting of a jazz musician and a guitarist. There was great interest at the club and guests rapped and took many photos with the first Hip Hop Cultural Envoy of the U.S. State Department. She also had two press interviews.
