This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Lots of tax payer money saved the financial system from collapsing after the
Lehman Brothers bankruptcy. Has anything changed since then? Change will only come from within. It will come from a different attitude
based on a strong sense of personal branding, leading one's life like a business and striving for a corporate culture which encourages this
behaviour.

Roger Claessens has been working twenty years in banks and twenty years for banks with a wide range of assignments but increasingly focused on branding and personal development. The financial sector, supposedly a stable environment, has seen huge swings in fortune creating precarious positions and a dismal image. He believes professionals can do something about it, starting with themselves. They should formulate the appropriate answer to the question: "What can I do about it?" It is not a matter of system, it is a matter of attitude.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
