Life outside Earth | Umair Asim | TEDxUET

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Umair Asim loves astronomy more than curry (Indian food). Asim's going to places and telling generation of all ages about his undying love Astronomy with his giant telescopes.

Umair Asim is an educationist by profession and an amateur astronomer at heart. He did his Masters in Astronomy from James Cook University and has dedicated his life to the sharing of his passion of Astronomy with general public, specially with children. He is one of the pioneering members of Lahore Astronomical Society. The society has held hundreds of public outreach sessions all across Pakistan. Umair owns the largest H-Alpha telescope in Pakistan to observe the Sun and one of the largest telescopes, Celestron C14 for the night sky.
