Lives Forever Linked - The Splendor of Becoming a Living Donor: Dr. Nandi Crosby at TEDxChico

Five years ago, Nandi Crosby gave the most personal and selfless of gifts — a kidney. This experience has changed how she views responsibility, compassion, and equity. A professor of Sociology and Multicultural Studies at CSU Chico, Dr. Crosby has focused her research on gender, sexuality, and feminist theory. She is also an advocate around all forms of injustice and has a passion for volunteering in prisons. Dr. Crosby received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Georgia State University.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
