NASA and the Space Program : Vandana Suryawanshi at TEDxPune

A prolific Science Teacher at Vidya Valley School, Pune, Ms. Suryawanshi is a recipient of the NASA Honeywell Educators at Space Academy in 2011 where just 220 teachers were selected from around the world and just four from India. In 2012, she became the first International Teacher Liaison at Space Foundation USA, one of only 20 teachers from around the world (of which the other 19 were from the US). This year, her class went on to win 2nd prize world wide in a Space Settlement Competition sponsored by NASA.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
