Officials, including Congressman Hal Rogers, Kentucky 5th District, dedicate the Williamsburg, Kentucky Levee and Floodwall Project during a ceremony Aug. 23, 1999 in Williamsburg, Ky. The flood risk reduction project was authorized by Section 202 of the Energy and Water Development Appropriation Act of 1981. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District constructed an approximate 2,860-foot long earthen levee and approximately 1,055-foot long flood wall. (USACE Video)
