Reflections, re-connections and creative transformations Dominique Le Gendre TEDxPortofSpain

In this talk Dominique takes us on a journey between the tiny estuary town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in North England and her hometown in the Caribbean. She tells the story of how she happened upon her inspiration in the form of that town, for a creative project she has been working on over the past few years. Through her journey, she shares how her Caribbean roots have inspired the evolution of this project, and how in working on this project she has in turn been impacted by it. She tells of the serendipitous connections that have come together across time and space to make this project possible, and she issues a call to us to pay heed to 'the journey' just as much as we would 'the destination'.
