Sarah Oppenheimer 33-D at Kunsthaus Baselland

In this project for Kunsthaus Baselland, the New York-based artist Sarah Oppenheimer reconfigures one of the interior spaces of the Kunsthaus along the building's structural grid. The installation titled 33-D mainly consists of two large glass sheets that are mounted at a 45-degree angle to the external skin of the building. These sheets function simultaneously as walls, projection surfaces, and mirrors. On the occasion of the opening we had a closer look at the work and recorded a conversation between Sarah Oppenheimer and Ines Goldbach, the director of Kunsthaus Baselland.

Sarah Oppenheimer was born in 1972 in Austin, TX (US). Her work has been shown at numerous museums across the United States, including at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Andy Warhol Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. The artist lives and works in New York.
