Jewellery producers in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland could face growing competition from players in developing markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia, according to research gathered by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) from Istanbul, Turkey. But Hong Kong-based traders at a major international trade event there say an emphasis on quality is a way to stay ahead.
