Stranger: Ally Turner at TEDxYouth@Sydney

Ally Turner performs her own composition: Stranger.

Music has been a part of Ally's life for as long as she can remember. At age 5, she began learning piano and at 8 years old she started to learn the flute. By 13, she had picked up an old guitar and taught herself how to play. In 2011, Ally began posting covers of popular songs on YouTube. Since then she has amassed over 20,000 subscribers and over 2.5 million views. She is currently a partner with the Fullscreen Network. And yes - she's just 17.

Ally hopes to pursue a career in performing through which she will be able to share her love of music with others. She is also passionate about travel and social justice, with a strong interest in exploring other cultures within the world. The future involves dreams of performing and travelling after completing school, and hoping to combine her compassion for those less fortunate, with the joy she shares and expels found in creating music.
