Medea Benjamin has been an advocate for social justice for over 30 years. She is a cofounder of CODEPINK, a women-initiated grassroots movement, and the international human rights organization Global Exchange. Her latest book is "Drone Warfare: Killing by Remote Control," and she has been campaigning to stop the use of killer drones. 

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
