The Boy Who Flies 'Ndizotheka': Godfrey Masauli at TEDxLilongwe

Godfrey Masauli always dreamt of flying, even though that dream felt outside his reach. A chance encounter with a Canadian paraglider was the opportunity of a lifetime. The couple toured the country teaching children to fly kites and follow their dreams no matter what the challenge. Eventually Godfrey followed his own dream to become Malawi's first paraglider pilot. Since taking to the skies, Godfrey has become an inspirational figure in his community and Malawi at large.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
